+ - Router Not Connecting to the Internet
  • Locate the POE (Power over Ethernet): Find the small white brick that powers your antenna outside your home. Unplug it from the wall, wait 5 seconds, then reconnect. Allow 60 seconds for the antenna to reconnect to the tower.

  • Check Internet: Check if your internet is working. If not, proceed to the next step.

  • Restart Wireless Router: Disconnect your wireless router from the wall, wait 5 seconds, and reconnect.

  • Check the Internet Again: Verify if your internet is now working. If not, continue to the next step.

  • Inspect Cables: Ensure all cables are securely connected. Pay special attention to the cable from the POE brick's LAN port; it should be connected to the WAN port on your router.

  • Recheck Internet: Recheck your internet connection. If the issue persists, contact AirMax Internet support for further assistance.
+ - Slow Internet Speed
  • Reboot the Router: Restarting your router can help resolve temporary issues that might be causing slow speeds.
  • Minimize Device Load: Too many devices connected to the router may slow your internet. Try disconnecting devices you aren’t using.
  • Move the Router: Place the router in a central location away from walls or electronic devices that may cause interference.
+ - Wi-Fi Signal Issues
  • Change Wi-Fi Channel: Interference from nearby Wi-Fi networks can cause signal issues. Log into your router settings and try changing the Wi-Fi channel.
  • Use 5GHz Band: If your router supports dual-band, consider switching to the 5GHz band for better performance in shorter ranges.
  • Reposition Antennas: If your router has external antennas, adjust them to improve signal strength.
+ - No Lights on Router
  • Power Check: Ensure that the power cable is securely connected and that the power outlet is working.
  • Try a Different Outlet: Plug the router into a different power outlet to rule out a faulty outlet.
+ - Forgot Wi-Fi Password
  • Check Your Router Label: Many routers have the default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password printed on a label, usually on the back or bottom of the router.

  • Custom Passwords: If your installer set a custom password, Airmax does not store or keep copies of Wi-Fi passwords for security reasons.

  • Need Help Finding It? If you cannot locate your Wi-Fi password, please contact Airmax Support at 928-565-6707. Our team can assist you in accessing your router to recover or reset your Wi-Fi password.
